No, u're wrong. That assertion is just false...

At the begining, when the first cds were pressed, there seemed to
be some kind of problems with the cover paintings (the upper part where u
can see the title of the album, or a picture of the artist or whatever)
and a rumour started saying that the chemichals of the ink would
eventually destroy the plastic below, but it was just that, a rumour.

Right now, the cd is the most time-resistant format, because it's
the only one that doesn't use a mechanic reproduction method.

I'm not saying it's the best one, but for domestic needs it's by
far the most suitable. I know that vinyls are VERY useful for djs, etc
but the reasons I sometimes read in these vinyl vs. cd wars are often
plain snobism; I like to be able to sneeze in front of my hifi without
missing part of a song because the needle jumped... (ok, it's a silly
joke, i know it)
