Yeah, yeah we know-
surely the issue is who is making stuff today that will be sampled in
years to come, i can't see a gangsta version of "I just called to say
I'll toast ya" somehow.
The problem is radio rules, watered down over produced crap sells by the
bucketful while the real groove is driven deep underground.
Enough people dig the Chilli peppers for their stolen funk riffs- if
they could hear real bands like the Greyboy Allstars etc they would get
into that as well...The records no one buys today are the rare breaks of
tomorrow :p
