...yeah, it is a drag. We did have Jhelisa booked for a one off North
American date, but she had to cancel. Basically, 3 of her 5 band members
(she works with top notch session players) quit all within a two day period
as they each got a number of other gigs elsewhere. Guess ya gotta do what
ya gotta do in order to earn a living making music. I believe she's now
re-grouping and will figure it out from there.
For those who haven't heard her most recent album, "Language Electric", try
to give it a listen. If rich, soulful vocals, intelligent lyrics and
beautiful compostions are your thing you'll especially love it. Definitely
one of the year's finest. Gorgeous.
