Nuyorican Soul/JTQ

I've heard much talk about these two bands and I was just
wondering...what could you compare Nuyorican Soul to? I've never
actually heard their music, and I know that a lot of acid jazz has diff.
flavors to it. Does anyone know if they're geared more towards hip hop?
or what other bands could you compare their sound to?

As for The James Taylor Quartet...I just listened to their new album
(the title escapes me right now) but I must say..it's pretty funky!
BTW, does anyone have the compilation "best of James Taylor" or
something? the cover is simply white, with the title on it. What's the
deal with that cd? i heard it, and it's nothing like what i expected,
or what I heard on the new cd? is it a different band or something?
