i personally use the emu esi32...it is not very difficult to learn the basic sampling
functions...and it has lots of cool features...[editing, panning, time spanning,
doppler, etc...] also..it uses 30 pin ram, which is very cheap right now, so you
can upgrade it through the roof for around $100....if you want something more in
depth, and don't mind spending a little extra, teh asr-10, is pretty awesome...it
has a built in sequencer, and lots of other features, and is available in rack
mount or keyboard models.....
