Yes, a good jam. Weldon is a long overlooked jazz/session player--some
of his music is available on funk-jazz comps from those fine folks at
Luv n' Haight. Also check some of the Strata-East jazz reissues, a sick
sick funk/free jazz label from back in the day.
Btw, the original for this album goes for ungodly amounts of cash, so
props to Hubbub records for rescuing it from the walls of overpriced
record stores around the world. Check another very expensive record
that they made available to the masses--The Harlem Underground
soundtrack, featuring George Benson (at his very best, pre-cheese era)
and Willis Jackson. It's, as they say in the trade, the Bomb!

Coming out soon, if not already. Rawkus is doing much for hip hop these
daze...Just saw the Hieroglyphics last night with Natural Elements
opening up. Natural E. was a bit all over the place, but had some sick
freestyles and were throwin' copies of their single from the Lyricists
Lounge out to the crowd--unfortunately, I didn't catch one.
Had to leave early so I missed most of the Hiro's set, just stayed long
enough to see Del, Cajual and the Souls just start to rip shit up.
Anybody else in the house?
