If you want more live funk I would recommend two live P-Funk albums. One is
Live and Kickin' which is a collection of recordings from P-Funk's recent tour.
The other is Live at the Beverly Theater, which was recorded in the early
eighties. Both are P-Funk at there best. As far as non-live old school '70s
funk I recommend picking up Funkadelic-One Nation Under a Groove and Cosmic
Slop. Herbie Hancock also has released some great funk albums that are more
heavy on the Jazz like Secrets and Headhunters. I also recommend picking up
greatest hits from the Ohio Players, Kool and the Gang, and Bootsy Collins.
Finally I highly recommend the 25th Anniversary reissue of Curtis Mayfield's
Superfly soundtrack.

One Nation Under a Groove, gettin' down just for the funk of it
