Call me OSSOM.
Dress me in flowing robes of coarse straw
drawn together with thick cords of string.
Weave nettles through my tangled hair
rub discarded fire ashes onto my face.
I'm on a search along the great white WAY.
On the path for the ultimate paaar-tee ! ! !
Call me overwhelmed …
Two amazing drum 'n bass parties
on one night this Saturday:
NYC United at Club Fantasia
or
Liquid Sky Xmas Party at the Cooler.
( quivering with indecision )
I may just have to go to both …

Was anyone else rilly disappointed by
the JOY party last night by Stuck on Earth
at Vinyl ?
It was an incredible lineup,
unfortunately perhaps due to my early retreat,
I only heard trance spinning in the main room.
The side room was for jungle.
I misunderstood,
based on the promo material
I thought it would mainly be
a thicket of hoppin' junglist kids.
Boy, was I wrong.
Vinyl was mobbed by teeny boppers last night
with neon pacifiers, day-glo hair spikes
brand new spanky fresh phat pants
( with designer label still attached ! )
and bindhis orange sneaks glowstix ...
stuff you'd expect to see on a Tsunami night.
Space Girl was impressive,
she was every bit of a 'babe'
as previously discussed on the list.
She kept up a half-pout of her
iced plummy-coloured lipstick
throughout her set.
Around her there was a circle of
half-naked young boys in phat pants
making unconscious phallic gestures
with the glowstix clutched in their hands.
But the noise, grrrr ...
I almost had a heart attack,
the music was relentless beats over beats,
no build-up, no climax, no breaks.
Just boom BOOM boom BOOM
BOOM BOOM BOOM !!!
Irritating.

Hanging a dead albatross
around my neck,
