Jobim was indeed very prolific through the years. It's actually possible
that a lot of the CDs you saw @ Tower were mostly different titles.

He is responsible for the seminal "Girl from Ipanema" and a major player
in Bossa Nova.
>Finally, has anyone ever heard of Tom Jobim?
Tom is Antonio Carlos. He used it as a nickname and in some albums
actually used it on the cover (i.e. "Tom and Ellis").
Going to school up here in the NE and in a college town with lots of
history, I've been able to pick up several used classic Bossa Nova
records. I made a 120 minute DAT (for personal use obviously) of my
favorite Bossa Nova tracks using several CDs, LPs, and compilations. I
can send you a copy of my DAT on cassette (for non commercial use
obviously). Let me know if you're interested...
Take care James,
