Geez, I'd just like to hear more about those!
The best source of the "Funky/Loungey/Spacey/Sleazy"-genre that I've found
so far is the Easy Tempo series (now up to 7 volumes! Holy Mackerel!),
some highlights of which are Easy Tempo v.2, Umiliani's _To-Day's Sound_,
Bembo's _Io e Mara_, the Lesiman comp, & tons more to boot.
Running a close second is the Irma _Mo' Plen_ & _Suono Libero_ stuff, & of
course the Crippled Dick Hot Wax genius.
Then there's some totally wickedass MPS reissues from Japan floating
around-- Wolfgang Dauner's _Oimels_ is out-of-control sitar-groove w/a
serious funky/sleazy souljazz bottom. Nice!
Venezuela's Los Amigos Invisibles kinda hit in the spacey loungy vibe too--
definitely worth peeping.
PS-- Anyone heard Terra Deva's new record? How's it compare to her stuff
w/Bugs? (which is my favorite Bugs, non-coincidentally)
