on a similar note,
I heard that at one show in New York,
Scanner (the group/guy) walked around the club he was supposed to play at
and recorded all of these people talking about various things during the
night. When he went on, he put those conversations into his set. He
talked about this in an interview (I think in The Wire, about a year or
so ago) and he said he was amazed at the types of conversations people
had a nightclubs (that is, they were pretty personal...he used them
anyway).
It's been a year since I read the article, so if I'm wrong about this,
someone can correct me.
