Can someone on either list point me in the direction of some defined
boundries to help determine just exactly what trip hop is vs what acid
jazz is vs hardhop and so on...
I found something like this at the hypereal site, but I found it to be
somewhat lacking...
As I delve into all things ambient/techno I have found a few
compilations that I have bought because I was familiar with some of the
artists, hoping that in turn this would lead me on to new artists that I
would like. However, this has lead to more confusion than
clairification. For instance. I find that some artists appear on comps
identified as trip hop AND on other identified as breakbeat etc...
So, what 'rules' are there to go by to sorta figure this out?
