Hello everybody..

I recently re-joined the acid-jazz list after being away for half a year
or so. After going through couple of digests, I must admit I'm a bit
frustrated about some of the messages here.. Mainly I'm talking about
the local gig/club information - I don't see much point in wading
through info on X amount of events I will never be able to participate
in (I ain't got no private jet to fly me around the globe!)..

I think people should think about organizing locally and distributing
the electronic flyers via regional mailing lists (how about
acid-jazz-nyc or acid-jazz US east coast?) or web sites. On the other
hand, if there's something very nice happening in your area that you
would like to share with your global aj-buddies, why not write up a gig
review/club report/radio show playlist, or even put up some audio/video
files to a free web space provider (there are many nowadays) - I can
surely get into REAL CONTENT like that.

How do you guys feel about this issue? I don't want to come across as a
moody bastard, but the less time we spend staring at unnecessary mail on
our computer screens the more we have to enjoy music, life etc..

Sorry if this point has already been discussed.. ;)

Cheers,
Pirkka
