I don't really hold with Moloko as a trip hop act. If trip hop means
some kind of trippy hiphop (which could include Portishead) then Moloko
touch too many bases for such a definition. I only have the first album
but it has tunes of many different tempos and its beats are not really
of a particular genre. They sound like they are created by someone with
plenty of free studio time and room to experiment. I heard Gilles P play
'Where is the what...' one Sunday night and its lyrics and general
moodiness got me hooked. 'Dominoid' is a fine tune as well.

For some reason, I never bought the second album but I got the album
version of 'Sing it back' on a compilation and it may swing me to
re-checking it.

For latest album check www.moloko.co.uk .
