dear list: Hey Black people(scott joplin)invented ragtime but thats not who
listens to it. ;)
             My point is that the writer said that r and b is inbred and
needs to embrace these other black created musics like 4-hero and duane
atkins techno. Im saying A )r and b is fairly good today. B) "The brothers
dont be checkin for 4 hero at the rekkid sto" (joking) . r AND B see
CELLI's "CAUGHT OUT THERE" . i like the melodies that Destiny's Child ..
this stuff is good and yes its done under certain constraints of tempo .
Techno is also rigid as in 4 /4 bangng away. Jungle is ... something else.
The article did give props to Timbaland for his mainstreaming of jungle. I
just was sticking up for R and B.
