dear list: Just got the reissue of ONE OF JU JU "African Rhythms" lp> Bandg
the first cut(the titl cut actually) has a break. Now do any of the other
"African Funk" comps like Racubah and others have this type of North
anmerican style funky drum break. I know many people call things "funky"
that a hip hopper wouldnt . In this case this break beat was funky in the
bronx-style sense. I stayed off the african stuff, even after reading about
it here, because while being "danceable ", it may have not been usable like
say the "apache " break. With this in mind do you know of any of the
afrocomps at WWW.dustygroove.com like this?
