Well I don't mind if the show is only "catered to the ears".
But when I saw Tricky in Paris, he was cosnulting screaming obscenities
9mainly directed towards girls, like "when i'm coming home, there will be
50 messages on my answering machine of girls who want...", attacking the
audience and also his musicians "Stop the f...ng bass".
The versions of the tracks were a little bit too much on the long side,
dangerously close to arty shapeless experiementations. And everytime you
would get in the mood, some abuse shouted by tricky would break the chgarm.
In no way, i want a show to be conform to the record, but if we pay
ususally a hefty ffe top wtachj an artiust we respect, we usually expect
some respect back

Did I not say, 'catered to the ears?' I didn't say I didn't like the show!
I was originally posting to a girl who had just bought a couple tricky
cd's, so she'd know what to expect. I was here when people were trashing
tricky concerts and that's why I thought there would be the chance of
disappointment. Stoned and droning is not necessarily a bad thing,
especially when you come there likin the damn music! It's just not a
theatrical or motion oriented or visual (including set, lights) kind of
show, more like he gets up there and is in his personal space doing his
thing, we just happen to be present and watching.
