Yes, that is very true, if one wants to generalise. We all know this. But
there are producers who like to remain producers and DJ's who cannot
produce if they tried, right? I am sure that mostly everyone looks at the
credits to songs to find out who did the production. Plus style usually
differ when a person/producer/dj/whoever work on their own music to stuff
they do for other people(like remixes and shit). Look at Prince Paul,
Bill Laswell, 4Hero and Peanut Butter Wolf for example. I much preferred
Prince Paul's work in production than to his own album. Same to David
Morales. But visa versa when I think of Stock, Hausen and Walkman or
Dr.Rocket.
What re other people's views??
