Er, I guess no one got the sarcasm...

Okay, so what defines a producer? Someone that's behind the scenes? And
what defines the "artist"? Someone whose name is on the album covers?

DJs are not musicians, but turntablists are. But DJs can be artists. And so
can turntablists, of course. All turntablists are DJs, but not all DJs are
turntablists. Ah well... :)

Er, there's some truth to that, but I have been playing various musical
instruments for the past 17 years and I refuse to go and buy a pair of
1200s and a Vestax just cos its "trendy." A couple of people suggested that
I take up DJing, but I refuse to, just because the act of being one just
because its "trendy" is stupid and ridiculous and is one huge cliche. Don't
get me wrong, I have massive respect to people who ARE DJs, have always
been DJs and stay true to the form, but I refuse to make the plunge just
because it's the "in" thing to do nowadays.
