Related to that old thread on sampling Bill Clinton and other presidents, I
recently got a record from 1984 or so... (not sure the exact date because
the record is in my room and I am in the computer room too lazy to get up
and get it :) It is a 12" single by "The Gipper goes to Washington" with a
great sample of Ronald Reagan saying something like "...Russia will be
outlawed forever; we begin bombing in 5 minutes..." (this was during the
cold war) What is really cool is that "The Gipper goes to Washington" is a
duo of a producer (his name leaves me) and none other that Bootsy Collins on
bass! But the best part of the record is the cover art, a great pop art of
Reagan on bright orange with ICBM's in the backround and his watch emmiting
yellow lighting, indicating the 5 minute timer or something.
