    Yeah, in the Los Angeles show (and I assume at every show; everyone's
    descriptions of GP's set was pretty similar) when GP played a jungle track, Rob
    would go off into this goofy pseudo ragga thing. It was a couple steps shy of
    being embarassing, but his "Hey, we're all having a good time, aren't we?" vibe
    seemed to redeem it.

    Yeah, he cut in some James Brown song ("Keep on singin!") intro chatter when I
    saw him.

    Gilles was doing beat matching, but only in his house/garage selections. It's
    obviously easier to do than in the house format.

    What makes Gilles, Gilles isn't really his DJing; it's his accomplishments;
    without him there would be no 4Hero, Young Disciples or Galliano, among others.
    Roni Size and the rest of the Reprazent crew would be unknown outside of Bristol
    and Incognito would merely be early '80s jazz-funk has-beens. Without Gilles
    there would be no Talking Loud or Acid Jazz labels. Without Gilles there would
    be no 'acid jazz.' Without Gilles, we wouldn't be here (on this list).
