Personal attacks on public lists are in poor taste.

    lb,

I want to state that I think your personal attacks at Dirk or his company
in this public forum are in poor taste and are inappropriate for the
    Acid-Jazz mailing list.

If contributing positively to the list is one measure of value on the net,
Dirk's contributed a lot more to this list than you have. Go back to the
archives and you'll see who's been talking up the good stuff and _not_just_
to sell records. Dirk talks about stuff that he sells _as_well_as_ stuff
that he doesn't sell. Not only that, Dirk adds commentary about artists
and labels that we wouldn't have on this list otherwise (his perspective
being a relatively unique one running the business that he does.)

If you've tried buying dance music online, you'll quickly realize that
people like Dirk who run an honest business focused on the music that we
discuss on this list are RARE. Ask around on the list and you'll find MANY
happy customers of Groove Distribution. I, for one, am happy to have Dirk
on this list and hope that this kind of personal attack won't turn him away
from contributing to this list as he has done in the past.

Anyone who knows anything about music retail/distribution knows that Dirk
is in it for the LOVE of the music NOT to make big cash moneybags, because
no one who runs an operation like Dirk's (focused on non-pop,
non-mainstream music) is making the really big cash. (No offense
intended.) He'd be an A&R exec at a big label if he wanted the safe job
    with the money.

Attacking people personally in a forum like this mailing list is
inappropriate and in poor netiquette. Take it offline if you have a
    personal issue with Dirk.

    Gen

p.s. Am I the only one who thought this attack was inappropriate?
