AMEN! Visitors to the RagConDesk East-Coast Sanctuary are
often amazed at the difference of the sound of CD VS LP -
not ONCE has anyone preferred the CD sound - no matter how
exacting the playback component. That said, for very quiet
ambient or music that contains vast sections of silence I
would choose the CD, as LPs (even when cleaned with a
professional record cleaner) have surface noise that may be
distracting. That represents approximately 1% of all music,
however...

PSS Napster turned me on to so many artists that I wasn't
aware of that I personally purchased 250-275 CDs as I
couln't live with an MP3 of music I truly loved...
