Definetly check the stuff coming from the Farout Records label, although not
all of it produced in Brazil, the sounds coming from this label are surely
brazilian (check the compilations Misturada to get a taste of it).
Must-have albums, besides the already excellent ones mentioned by Jeremy and
Dave:
Otto - Samba Pra Burro
Marcos Valle - Nova Bossa Nova
Fernanda Abreu - Da Lata
Joyce - Hard Bossa
And of course, the classic stuff from Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Arto
Lindsay, Zelia Duncan, the recent Marisa Monte, etc..
