    hi folks...

...anyone got any info about the dynamic joint label, is there a website,
etc? They've been releasing some nice stuff ... like tate's place's
"burnin", the modern afro science comp and others ... so I'm wanting to
know what else they've released that I might like, where they're based,
where I can get it, etc.

and while I'm here ... any fans of the roots should check out the newish
double live album. i'm sure it doesn't compare with the experience of
actually seeing them, but given that I'm not likely to be catching them in
the near future, it's been a very good substitute. It's great to hear how
they rework their stuff in the live format.... they've got a very big sound
considering they're only using drums, bass, rhodes and vocalists. A bit
rough in parts, but that adds to its charm. And it's probably worth
forking out for the double rather than the single cd release ... "the
lesson (pt 3)" is practically worth the extra $$$ alone.

    peace,
    Kurt
