I forgot to throw my .02 in.

I'm 24 and in ultra-laid back Gainesville, Florida, although I intend on moving to New York early this year (Anyone have job leads? ha ha ha ha).

First a-j release: first Brand New Heavies (1990), although at the time I thought it was straight funk. I don't think I saw the term "acid jazz" until I started reading Streetsound and got Emergency on Planet Earth.

I'm a long time music fan: I distinctly remember having a copy of "The Hustle" when I was 3 !! My pre-aj listening habits were mostly funk, soul and disco records, alongside the pop hits of the day (Duran Duran, Nu Shooz, Madonna, Poison, etc.) .
