I'm 23, from Helsinki, Finland. Back in high school I was mostly
into classical music and metal (blush). Thanks to my schoolmates
I began to see the funkier side of things and started to dig Jamiroquai,
Tower of Power, MC Solaar and the likes. A turning point was
Massive Attack's Karmacoma, after that I started actively searching
for more, and stumbled on the Rebirth of Cool vol.3. Doing searches
about the subject on the internet led me to this list as well.
Best this year? Jazzanova, definitely, and Innerzone Orchestra.
