I have the turntable connected to the amp, the amp connected to the mixer, and the mixer connected to the "line in" jack of the computer. No sound. I've tried turntable to mixer to amp to "line in." No sound. I've been able to get some sound on the computer by running the line through the "mic in" jack, but I know that's not correct because I can't record the wav files.

What is the amplifier for? A pre-amp to boost your signal, or an amplifier as in
speaker system? You won't need it in most cases. What mixer is this? If this is
a DJ mixer, simpler connect the line out to the computer's line in via a stereo
RCA to 1/8" stereo plug adaptor. And what computer is this? If you're using
Windows, make sure the recording properties are set to "line in."
