Urbanham.com presents THE FIRST ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE
Date: SATURDAY, JULY 8, 2000
Location: L.R. Hall, 424 North 16th Street, Downtwon Birmingham
Time: 9AM to 5PM
Admission: FREE
As an effort to continue to reach out to the community, Urbanham.com is
organizing and planning the 1st Annual Urbanham.com Technology Showcase.
This showcase will allow smaller technical and communication companies to
join forces with larger corporations and the media to help educate our youth
and business owners on the power of the Internet and Information Technology.
The format of this showcase will allow for fun, interactive learning,
which will allow participants to receive gainful experience through hands on
demonstrations, seminars, and discussions. During this showcase, we plan
to capture the interest of children and adults and initiate the possibility
of them pursuing a career in the expanding field of technology or becoming
active consumers of computer and information technology products and
services. The highlight of this event will be a city-wide Video Gaming
Contest that will allow participants to win prizes. We are seeking vendor
and sponsorship support from individuals and corporations.
We hope that you see the importance of educating a community that is falling
behind in this fast paced Internet Economy. This is an opportunity for
local and national Information Technology companies to support a community
effort while highlighting the latest in technical products and services.
This event will be advertised on local radio, television and print. We are
expecting a large turn out and receiving a positive response from business
owners, community leaders and corporations.
Booth availability is on a first come, first serve basis.
