You can get most of the Black Jazz albums now, as the label had been
    revivified:

I'm esp. fond of the Henry Franklin & Awakening records. There's
even a superstars of Black Jazz tour about to go around which you can
    read about on the site--

The Strata East & Tribe compilations also on Soul Jazz are right up
that alley. There's also another Black Jazz greatest hits comp from
Japan (buncha overlap though), & two Japanese _Vibes from the Tribe_
comps which don't overlap much at all w/the SJ comp, iirc.

Start tracking down the original records-- comps inevitable miss some
real gems, & you can't go wrong w/any of those three labels.

We've discussed this stuff a lot over on the kozmigroov list, so you
might want to peek over there:

Oneness of Juju's albums, esp. _Space Jungle Luv_, are similarly in that zone.

    Good luck!
