From Ninja HQ - Coldcut's long-running Solid Steel show is back on the
air/net. Excuse the blatant press release plug, but I thought some of you

COLDCUT BROADCASTING LIVE
Coldcut are set to return to the airwaves of London with their 'Solid
Steel' show after a year's absence by dope demand. The show will run on
LONDON LIVE 94.9FM (formerly known as GLR) on Monday nights from
midnight to 2am GMT.
The major audience feedback to a blinding series of guest mix slots
on Annie Nightingale's BBC Radio 1 show and Ross Allen's show was a
key factor in influencing the powers that be, who decided that London
could not do without Coldcut's unique sound. Expect 'Solid Steel'
regulars Strictly and PC of DJ Food, other guests and the one and
only 'producin' DK [Darren Knott] and a series of eclectic musical
trips every week.
The Coldcut duo of Jonathan More and Matt Black are certainly no
strangers to the airwaves of London. They were one of the pioneers in
the days when Kiss FM was still a pirate station and ran their show
right up until Spring 1999, winning a 1996 Sony Award for Specialist
Show along the way.
In a decade that has seen hip hop, house, techno and jungle cross
over to the mainstream, Coldcut, who catalysed the invasion of the
charts by electronic music in the mid-eighties, are still showing the
way.
