Where to start... Slave have been around since the late 70's (I think their
debut was around '76) and are still around today, after a fashion. They were
at their peak during the late 70's and early 80's. Some of their best stuff
has been put out on CD fairly recently - I know I picked up "Stone Jam"
(from 1980 my personal fave) on CD last year, and I'm fairly sure the debut
LP and a "best of" have been out too.

At their peak, they were an awesome band - and spawned a few spin-offs
(Aurra, Steve Arrington's Hall Of Fame, Steve Washington) that also produced
some great material. Mark Adams, the main bass player (and the frontman of
the current version of Slave) is absolutely amazing - just listen to just
about any track off of "Stone Jam."

Their biggest hits were (I think) "Slide" (from their debut LP) and "Just A
Touch Of Love" (I think the LP had the same title - couldn't find it to
    check.)

    ..Mark..
