        I'll throw out a few now off the top and think on
    it some more. I'm sure others will have some too.
        TUNES: Definitely go hit up Grammaphone Records,
    one of my favorites. Peep the maaajor list of mix
    tapes. I'd also pop into Dusty Grooves if they're open
    -- check their website for hours.
        SHOWS: My favorite, the Elbo Room, often times
    will have acid jazz, hip hop or other stuff. I've
    caught Liquid Soul there a few times now. The Red Dog,
    I think that's the name, in Wicker Park isn't bad
    either. Only been there once.
        FOOD: I'm always broke from spending too much on
    records. So I just hit up the Taco Palaces. There's
    like three or four of them around. Excellent greasy
    authentic Mexican food for the drunk soul.
