According to G.P. it will be released here in the UK as part of an EP on V
recordings pretty soon. I think he also mentioned that it had already been
released in Japan. G.P. played another track from the EP on one of his shows
and I think it's actually better that Sambassin, although not as catchy...
Both tunes are great.

Subject: DJ Patiffe - "Sambassin"
Anyone heard of a tune by DJ Patiffe called "Sambassin"? It's been getting
airplay on Gilles Peterson's "Worldwide" for the past few months.
It's got this female singer singing in Portugese along to a bossanova jazz
guitar riff, then all of a sudden the drum n bass beat kicks in, and
there's spices of Brazilian percussion - cuicas, batucadas, whistles. This
tune makes me go nuts. Anyone heard of it outside of Gilles' show? Anyone
own the record? If anyone's curious I can send you a short mp3 snippet of
it.
