Ludlow 4 year anniversary party for LOW PROFILE MONDAYS

    Monday, November 20th -- 8pm

    Hosted by DeShawn Maxwell
    Live Musicians
    Performance by the Social Outcasts

The only party in New York City where the deep soulfulhouse, UK breaks and
beats, independent underground Hip Hop, and juicy JamaicanDub are met with
    the same dancefloor enthusiasm.

Hosted by genre-blurring visionary DeShawn Maxwell with the vibes mixed by
“good music is good music” Qool DJ Marv.

Expect a live performance from rhythmic wordsmiths The Social Outcasts and
musicians vs the DJ sets. As a treat Qool Marv has invited back all the DJs
that have graced the grimy decks at Ludlow, Spinna, Reborn, Stormin Norman,
Ian Marquis, Murv, ChrisLogan, E-Man, & Rashid.

    Open bar 8pm to 9pm

Recommended by the Village Voice's Greg Tate in the Best of New York 1999
    issue.
I-D magazine November 2000 issue hailed Low Profile as one of the two best
    underground parties in New York.

    Once again...
If you know the "Low Profile" vibe at Ludlow, then you know of the
unpredictable nature of the music at Ludlow. Sometimes classic Larry
Levan-type garage, sometimes deep soulful house, maybe some roots reggae,
perhaps some "n*gga, b*tch, ho, materialism-FREE" hip hop...let me say that
again FREE HIP HOP, sometimes drum and bass, sometimes dirty funk, sometimes
electric '80s...but always, always, ALWAYS music to dance to, to zone to, to
    converse to, to smile to.

Low Profile at Ludlow Bar celebrates music and minds that are free of formula
and convention. Freedom of expression through music and dance thrive every
Monday night for 4 years and running.

    George Clinton of Parliament Funkadelic

What secret is there in music which attracts all those who listen to it? It
is the rhythm which is created. It is the tone of that music which tunes the
soul, and raises it above the depression and despair of everyday life in this
world. If one knew what rhythm is needed for a particular individual in his
trouble and despair, what tone is needed, and to what tone that person's soul
should be raised, then one could heal a
    person with music.
