OK, gotta admit that I know very little about rock music, but I have
this friend who is very deeply involved in that scene and has hyped up
GYBE to me. And what I've heard (especially the Levez vous skinny fists
comme.. etc. album) I've really liked more than anything else in that
genre, about ever. The album also has parts that would fit nice into a
downtempo chillout set, that I could imagine would be off DJ Food's or
even DJ Shadow's record, so that's even bigger plus to me. =)
Of course, if you (or someone else) can point to records in the same
dark, moody instrumental vein but even better, I'd be more than happy to
hear of them. =)
