    Hi there,

I feel ya on this one.
If you like Strung Out you should get a hold of the Talkin Loud sampler
Talkin Inside The Beat, which features a longer version of this track
(5:30), which is even better, if at all possible.
My highlights of this album are in no particular order Free My Mind, Crazy
Love, Sincere and of course Strung Out.
I have to say that I am not much into the MCing. I understand it's an
integral part of the scene, but on my stereo it's not as good as it is
live. I've seen MJ Cole perform on North Sea Jazz and the band and singers
and MCs he brings can sincerely leave quite an impression.
Have to agree that MJ Cole is definitely one of the better albums of 2000.
But then again, it's come from one of the best labels around ...

While MJ Cole is kind of link between UK Garage and d'n'b, Craig David is a
link between UK Garage and r'n'b. His album is very soulful, but
mainstream. The fact he was amongst the first to come with a UK Garage
album (close after MJ Cole) gives him some street cred. The future will
tell if he can hold on to it.

Subject: MJ Cole.... Who else is feelin' "Sincere" ?

Yes, last week I finally got MJ Cole's "Sincere" 4 LP set. It is some
serious Extra Soul Pressure. I love that deep & soulful tune "You're
Mine" feat. Guy S'mone.... smooth vocal 2-step. Ruff tunes like
"Bandalero Desperado", "Attitude". & "Slum King", that any real drum &
bass fan could like. Soulful gems like "Crazy Love", "Hold On",
"Sanctuary", "Tired Games", and "Free your Mind". I am sort of perplexed
by the odd strings of "Strung out", but it's bittersweet melody is
intoxicating!!!! The funky cover of rare groove classic Modulations'
"Rough Out Here" and the down tempo "I see", are a beautiful touch of
Soul. The classic "Sincere" is of the most beautiful and deepest UK
Garage songs ever recorded. The old skool-ish 97 vibe of "Feelin' You"
sends you back to the Sunday "Speed Garage' scene . I've played 5 tracks
from this record, at 2 gigs already, and people are feeling the deep
soul of MJ Cole. It is, imho, the best full length I've heard so far in
    2000. This is a classic!!!!!

I haven't heard anyone else mention this masterpiece. Did anyone else
    check it out?
MJ Cole is the man of 21st century SOUL Music. Anyone agree?

Also worth mentioning these other producers like the ones called Grant
Nelson & Norris Windross ( Soul ll Soul's Rose Windross' brother) as N'
n G', Ed Case and Carl H., DJ Luck and MC Neat, Zed Bias, TJ Cases of
"Do it Again" fame, Ceri Evans (Sunship), and of course the big man of
the moment Wookie!!!! So dig these prolific UK Garage/ 2-step producers.

    Easy,
    Essential.
