I highly recommend this CD to Acid Jazz lovers and to
those who just love jazzy, seamlessly mixed grooves.
This is my first exposure to St. Germain. I received
a promotional copy of "Tourist" at the Book/Record
store where I work. Lucky Me!
The music is infectious. The more I listen to it the
more I love it.
Anybody feel me?
Yeah! Tracks:
2."Montego Bay Spleen" 5'41" featuring Ska/Reggae/Jazz Guitarist Ernest
Ranglin.
6."Sure Thing" 6'22" featuring John Lee Hooker from the movie Soundtrack
-The Hot Spot- which also features Miles Davis.
8."La Goutte D'or 6'17".
9."What you think about....." 4'43".
Are the tracks that I really, really, really feel. It is just a shame these
four tracks couldn't be each 60 minutes long. "Sure Thing" just makes me
want to go back an listen to that Flawless soundtrack to the movie -The Hot
Spot-.
You feell these 4 aforementioned tracks and would like to make further
recommendations to others that would comp that vibe give me a holler.
Anyone know of other St. Germain
releases?
I think there is an import available of another release but I am not sure
theough. I am looking for the CD singles of trackes 2, 6, 8, & 9. Happy
Trails!!!
Semper Motociclismo,
Pace'
Robin.
