Analog will sounds better mainly because of the loss of quality at
higher frequencies (a 20 kHz harmonic will produce some sideband
effects because it will quite literally be a sawtooth wave). Higher
sampling rates will fix this, but not completely. There is a point
where it doesn't matter, but even on modern recording equipment, the
analog stuff sounds better (okay, we are talking about equipment which
the average person can't afford).
