what up y'all. i've been a lurker for some time, sifting through the
archives and all that. i've been looking for a crew that is feeling the
whole west london biz, and since that stuff's been getting mad love here
recently, i figured i should sign up and start posting. so, here it goes...
"betcha" is the one. it's been my #1 tune since i nabbed it and it fully
fits the changing seasons here in NYC.
here's the "betcha" teaser from goya dist:
"Already massive on most parts of the planet, being championed by Giles
Peterson and includes a killa mix from IG Culture's Son Of Scientist outfit"
now, i know i'm not in one of those parts of the planet where it's already
massive, but if you happen to be, let me know just how massive it is...gotta
love the hype
one to look out for is kudu's "transit," forthcoming on bitasweet. kudu is
the combined talents of seiji, domu, and mark de c-l, kaidi tatham could be
smoothing the keys on this one as well. haven't seen the promo yet but it
should drop this week or next...
love to those feelin' west london broken beat whatever ;)
all these old jungle cats are taking their production scientist skills to
the next level, and creating seriously smooth future music. no one on the
"breaks" list was hearin' this. glad you all are around...
late,

aaron, i couldn't agree more! got my hands on a copy
this weekend and i can't stop listening. where does
IG come from? i think he's from another planet or
something. and julie's voice is butter.
this one's gonna be in the frequently played pile for
a while.
and speaking of mind-blowing west london broken beat
business, i also got a promo copy of kaidi tatham's
"betcha" forthcoming 12". this is just INSANE. has
anyone else heard this??? it's just plain SICK. just
you wait, i guarantee, this one will be HUGE. "must be
a gambling man, betcha, bet you are..." one of those
classic tunes that sticks in your head for days. look
out!
