Also to buy on site: "places and spaces" by donald byrd, IMO two other great
underrated mellow jazz-funk albums byrd did pre-mizell brothers are
"electric byrd" and the wonderful "ethopian knights"... all essential home
listening cuts.. along similar lines is the LP "shifting gears" by Johnny
Hammond, also a larry/fonce mizell production...
watch out for some of the later blackbyrds stuff though, they lost control
come the late-70's (then again, who didnt?)..
