    just to add another hip hop album... from last year I still play... The Unbound Project.  This is what hip hop is all about.  All types of talent on it... J Rocc, Poor Righteous Teachers, Saul Williams, Aceyalone, Ursula Rucker, Mike Ladd, and on... not for the weak at heart (or mind).  Plenty of de-programming and knowledge for those who don't know the real deal (true underground IMO). 

    I am in no way an authority on hip hop, but I know what I like... some labels to check

    Soondoo
    Goodvibe
    Stones Throw
    Ozone
    Big Dada
    Ground Control
    Project Blowed
    Quannum
    Heiroglyphics

    that's what comes to mind....
