I like Res' single, "Ice King" enough, but for some
reason, something I can't really put my finger on, it
doesn't seem to have that staying power that, say,
Jilly from Philly does. Haven't been able to hear any
more of the album yet, so the jury's out.
I think India Arie is cool as hell. Her album,
Acoustic Soul, has some very nice moments on it. A
little bit more on the gospel-folk vibe. Hmmm, let's
see -- a friend of mine in L.A. said a station there
was playing a cut by Pru that he liked a lot -- any
one hear of her?
On an older note, I'm still trying to track down a
copy of Mica Paris' "Black Angel" LP. Is Cooltempo
Records even in business anymore? Every time I ask a
record clerk about it they give me this strange look.
Um, although, it could just be that I desperately need
a haircut and a shower.
stinky as I wanna be,
