Check out Kim Hill's cd. She did some work with the Black Eyed Peas a while ago and i got turned on to her through Garth Trinidad's show. Kim Hill's got some real nice tracks on the cd... I think the only place you can get it is her website... kimmykim.com. I haven't been to the website in a while (but on quick glance) it's been updated with a lot more audio. Also, Erykah Badu. All of her 3 albums are worth owning. Both D'Angelo albums are essential for soul/r&B. I'm also interested in India Arie... I like her latest song "Video", but havent heard the whole album. Um, Angie Stone is tight (trying to think of males)... can't think of any guys except for D'Angelo unfortunately. Maybe Maxwell, if thats your thing. Most of the male r&b is pretty cheesey although i do like that song by Tank - Maybe I deserve (it's cheesey too). And then there's that one new song where there girl'! s saying "I heard it all before... but your lies ain't workin' now, look who's hurtin' now, i had to shut you down, had to shut you down"... have no clue who she is but if somebody knows that may be worth checking to Dirk, but no quite up to Jill Scott or Kim Hill... still good nonetheless.
