    hey ya'll,

The Angel's excellent new album, 'No Gravity,' has been out for a number
of weeks. Definitely worth checking. Wesley, it's all Angel
originals...her production (of course) with a few instrumentals and a
number of vocal appearances by people she's worked with over the years:
Mystic, Pharcyde's Tre Hardson, Divine Styler, Navigator, Cokni O'Dire
etc. (no Monday Michuru here though). The album's overall sound is
pretty chill...dubby, spaced out hip hop, jazzy in her kinda way. Really
nice, and I think more consistent than the album she put out a while
back under her 60 Channels monicker.

As for Angel as a DJ (having played with her a coupla weeks ago), she
mainly plays hip hop and dub/roots reggae, with some d&b and other
stuff. She's a music lover, so ya never quite know what's gonna come.
Her skills have definitely tightened over her few years of playing. Fun
to hear. BTW, she dropped a forthcoming track by Tre Hardson under his
Legend of Phoenix solo tag and it was a-maze-ing!! Check his site,

On a related tip, if you're interested in reading a lengthy article I

I also aired a 20 minute chunk of our conversation on the July 16 Mental

And Pedro, btw, you're too late on the marriage front. Angel has been
with someone for years. Though, I've gotta say...personally, I've never
thought 'Wow, I wanna marry her (or him)' about any producer or DJ ever.
You must be hooked. Or not able to see past her gender ;-)

Hope that's all of info to you fellow Angel fans. Ciao for now.
