I don't recognize any of the artists you mention, but like I said I'm
looking for minimal, tribal, "deep" dubbed out stuff, that is also bangin',
I mean like around 130 bpm, (as opposed to 140 or 120).... I don't really
know about detroit techno, as that was before my time, however I do enjoy
some recent releases by Kirk DeGiorgio, John Tejada, and Future Beat
Alliance, and I understand that all of these have some relation to the
original Detroit Sound.
Deep House is nice, especially when it's done well. I think
selection/programming is more important there than in any other genre. I
don't think it mixes well with most broken beat material, that's mostly in
the 130-135 bpm range, unless you pitch it down and make it sound weird
which just sounds weird.
