    i guess you're looking for the more "progressive" house stuff that has a lot
    of dark tribal influences....
    hard house is really stupid fast house music with deranged children
    melodies.....i agree with Stavros that brokenbeats and hard house don't
    really mix, especially cause i think those are aimed at 2 *very* different
    audiences...

    i would suggest you check out some records under the "progressive" and
    "tribal" labels in your local recordstore....stuff like halo and hip-e,
    6400crew etc. will prolly be more what you're looking for than the hard
    house stuff
