Pitch Bend

    This is slightly offtopic, but there seem to be many DJs hanging out on this
    list, so here it goes:

    For fun (and not (yet) so much for profit) I recently bought myself a double
    cd player mixing unit, and after having figured out how the basic stuff
    works I wonder: What is the intended use for the pitch bend (it's a small
    joystick in my case)? I'm totally aware what to use the usual pitch shift
    for (beat matching), but is there any AJ DJ out there that can tell me what
    he uses the pitch *bend* for?
