I was fortunate to see St. Germain live here in Amsterdam last night and it really steamed ! This guy got a great bunch of musicians together. The set was more funky and more danceable than the album. Go see them if you have the chance !

i do not know the felt mountain release but i have enjoyed Tourist on a number of levels. It certainly has some meorable cuts on it but on another level it has been great as conduit to bring my listeners into contact with AJ and related musical forms, Tourist has some easily identifiable ideas and concepts that allow for ready connection for the uninitiated and i appreciate discs like that. From what i hear, the live conglomeration that St. Germain put together to tour behind the album also really smoked and that says a lot for the underlying music to my mind!
