('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) >Full Name: Monday Michiru Akiyoshi (Mariano)
    >Mother: famous Jazz pianist Toshiko Shuukichi
    >Father: saxophon player char Lee Mali (can't get the correct spelling)

    That should be Charlie Mariano.

    >Just a side note, it's suprising how talents are often ignored in their native land. A lot of my Japanese friends has never heard of UFO nor think Monday is an achieving artist.

    > How was the Play It By Ear single? The song sort of reminds me of commercial pop but I heard a batucada version that sounded interesting but the lack of knowledge from anyone on this release must be quite small. The best that Monday ever got was definitely Incognito's Caporeira Remix of Yellow Bird! Nice! <
"Play It By Ear" was my first exposure to her, so I'll always like that song. There's the extended remix by Shinichi Osawa which carries on the song's Brazilian vibe, and the single also has an acoustic version, with just her getting jazzy with an acoustic guitar.

    >Question: why there's alway variation between CD release and Vinyl release? I used to have a gramophone. But the sound quality is really not that good, and I don't really have the space and $$$ for speaker+amplifier+turntable, so I gave up the idea of buying Vinyl from then, However, it looks like I am missing out a lot of things out there. If anyone can answer me, Thank you.<

Monday Michiru is vinyl friendly and makes sure that DJ's and fans are equipped with essential instrumentals.
